    The 20th international scientific conference globalization and its socio-economic consequences 2020: Section: International relations and globalization, 2021, vol. 09011, no. 09011, p. 1-10

    Research background: In negotiations, in modelling decision-making at both the individual and market levels, it is important to understand and be able to assess important aspects of economic behaviour. The theory of spectrum is proposed to be applied in modelling decision making. The object of the research is the possibilities of application of spectrum and game theories. Classical economic theory does not define subjective parameters of economic behaviour, therefore, when modelling market negotiation strategies, it is difficult to identify and evaluate appropriate parameters of economic behaviour required for decision-making in market negotiations. The spectrum theory approach can be used to model the economy, both at the individual and market levels, which is especially relevant in international business negotiations, where the modelling of solutions and various operations presents opportunities to assess subjective parameters. Purpose of the article: The aim of the paper is to investigate and compare the application of spectral decay and gambling theories in modelling market economy negotiations. Research methods: Scientific literature analysis, comparative, logical analysis and synthesis, comparative and generalization methods, game theory, quantum cognition methods. Findings & Value added: The article examines the basic principles of behavioural economics: the functions of assessing the psychological value and uncertainty of monetary gain or loss, how both theories take these principles into account: game and spectrum.

    The existence of exclusive rights to produce or supply services means a monopoly. Often it is called a natural monopoly. Exclusive rights are granted for a long period of time, which should encourage major investments in infrastructure, the development of which is unlikely to occur without a guaranteed market. But sometimes exclusive rights are used in situations where there is no natural monopoly. Exclusive rights are, in many respects, one of the main routes to market. Exclusive rights may allow monopoly pricing and other market power tools. Regulatory measures used by competition authorities alone do not make it possible to avoid such a situation, as they often show a very low success rate in preventing market power from being used to protect consumers. The purpose of this article is to analyze the theory and practice of preparing negotiating strategies in a complex way, to reveal opportunities to develop and implement these negotiating strategies, taking into account competition policy actions. The subject of the study is the preparation of negotiation strategies taking into account competition policy actions in the market. The research problem of the article - there is not enough tools in the negotiation theory to help develop negotiation strategies in line with competition policy actions.

    Traditional marketing is no longer able to address all the issues in modern markets. Global economic crisis, post-Brexit challenges, and changes in the landscape of corporate social responsibility are pushing marketing managers to build sustainability into the performance of the marketing mix. This leads to the development of new marketing philosophy, i. e. green marketing. Companies that implement green marketing orientation send a message to the stakeholders that they care about the society and the ecosystem. While past studies provide useful theoretical insight into the concept and benefits of green marketing decisions, a lack of holistic viewpoint to the factors that determine the choice of green marketing orientation in modern organizations exists. This lack stimulated authors of the paper to address the demand for an integrated analysis of green marketing factors. The article provides researchers and marketing managers with a comprehensive view to the factors affecting the choice of green marketing orientation. Theoretical analysis has shown that factors determining the choice of green marketing orientation can be of external or internal nature. Apart from that, all the factors are direct or indirect and differ in their manageability. The findings of the research present opportunities for researchers and managers to apply green marketing orientation. The article includes directions for future research and managerial implications.

    City brand image formation by urban heritage initiatives
    [Stvaranje imidža grada kroz inicijative urbanog naslijeđa]
    research article[2020][S1][S004][14];
    Management: Journal of contemporary management issues: Special issue, 2020, vol. 25, p. 29-42

    In today’s world, as cities compete in the marketplace, strategies for creating a city brand image are often shaped solely to meet the aspirations of profit, business development, and awareness. The preservation of culture, historical, and urban heritage remains important only in urban development strategies and not in actual development actions. The truth is, the image of a city is shaped by different historical, political, demographic, sociological, and economic factors which make up what we perceive as the brand image of a city. However, one of the most noticeable elements of the brand image of a city is the urban heritage based on national raditions. The aim of this article is to evaluate the effects of urban heritage initiatives in the creation of the brand image of the city of Vilnius. Research methods used in this article are qualitative content analysis and expert semi-structured interviews. Main conclusions stimulate debate, hesitation and criticism from communities and city researchers for using new heritage object and culture initiatives in order to create the brand image of Vilnius. The influence of urban heritage is inevitable when modelling the brand image of Vilnius, but there are no effective strategies to deal with the new urban heritage initiatives by creating the brand image of Vilnius yet.

    The article presents the analysis fossil fuel power generation market, focusing on management of advanced fossil fuel (AFF) power generation challenges of related technologies especially when tackling climate change impacts, complying with stricter environmental requirements. A wide and dynamic spectrum in scope and scale of factors revealed confirms the necessity for solutions enabling organizations to transform and manage rationally their fossil fuel-based business models towards greater competitiveness in the context of emerging renewable energy reliance. Nevertheless, in this respect the measures in question may require trade-offs, therefore when considering their combination, a diligent multicriteria analysis will inevitably be involved. With pivotal focus on the economic utility and the balanced and sustained strategic development of business, as the result of the research author proposes to apply VIKOR method when deciding on AFF power generation options. Application flexibility of the proposed method allow to evaluate, compare possible alternatives in a comprehensive and complex manner and to mingle MCDA tools if needed.
