Transport Transitions: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility : Proceedings of the 10th TRA Conference, 2024, Dublin, Ireland - Volume 1: Safe and Equitable Transport, 2026, p. 175-181

Autonomous vehicles is a trending research topic which involves a number of different problems. This research work considers the problem of path planning, while taking into account specific and important traffic scenario – determination of the path in order to perform obstacle avoidance during cornering. In this research work, a novel hybrid path planning approach which consists from two classical planning approaches – the Bezier curves and the Rapidly-exploring random trees, is proposed and experimentally tested. The entire development process of the hybrid path planning approach is de-scribed. The experimental testing of the proposed approach was performed while using an actual prototype of the autonomous vehicle. During the ex-perimental testing, different positions of the obstacle, different radius of the corner arc and different angles of the corner arc were considered. Approximately 200 different scenarios were considered and experimentally tested. The results of the experimental testing showed that the general performance of the proposed hybrid path planner is reliable – the planned paths are safe, continuous, and technically feasible.

In the urban area, the sidewalk used for cycling and electrical kick-scooters is usually presented in the wide range from asphalt to brick pavements. The current research work is based on the establishing of the vertical vibration and frequency range transferred from driving e-scooters on different type of pavements to the rider. The most used type of the electrical kick-scooter in sharing application without wheels suspension and with pneumatic tire with recommended inflation pressure 3.4 bar (50 psi) is under research. The vibration analysis is performed by measuring the vibration level and performing an additional Fourier Transform spectrum analysis. Measurements were done using a t-sample measurement design and based on a one-sample statistical method for estimating uncertainty in repeated measurements of data processing. In the research, the mechanical impedance of the driver is taken into consideration, allowing for an estimation of the overall driver's comfort. The obtained results allow to define the critical risk of vertical vibration frequency transferred to the human during driving the electrical kick scooter in an urban area on the different pavements, which can help in re-thinking the road infrastructure development for micro-mobility.

The article analyses the attractiveness problems of public transit in the largest Lithuanian cities. The analytical-methodical part of the article discusses the concept of attractive public transport system. In the research section, the expert analysis that evaluates the public transport systems of the large Lithuanian cities is presented, and ways to improve the quality in this area are considered. Additionally, a qualitative method is applied to study the way to increase the attractiveness of public transportation services in the field of sustainable development by focusing on existing public transportation problems. The causal connections between expert evaluation and qualitative analysis are examined. Working methods and tools include analysis of methodological and scientific literature, quantitative research using questionnaires. In conclusion, the article presents a proposed solution that includes transit model, which will allow to promote and increase the attractiveness of public transport (PT) itself towards commuters.

Gender-fluid fashion is gaining traction amid changing consumer approaches to gender identity and expression. For most fashion brands and retailers, blurring the links concerning menswear and womenswear will require rethinking their industry system by shifting the product design, marketing, and in-store and digital shopping experiences. The shift is evident in high-fashion runways and everyday shopping, with online searches for “genderless” and “gender-neutral” fashion increasing yearly (Amed and Berg 2022). In our study, we adopted a qualitative methodology to delve into the characteristics of genderless clothing collections. This approach involved collecting images, which were meticulously analysed using the advanced MaxQDA software. The software's capabilities allowed for a comprehensive analysis of images from various brands and designers, thereby providing a nuanced understanding of genderless clothing. Our data collection and processing involved a comprehensive qualitative image analysis methodology. We selected seven brands/designers known for their unisex or genderless collections, from which we collected 117 images. These images were then meticulously and rigorously analysed using the MaxQDA software. The investigation presents pertinent theoretical contributions to the evolution of knowledge of today's genderless clothing and offers powerful practical insights. These insights are relevant to academia and hold significant value for brands and designers in the textile and clothing industry, providing a deeper understanding of genderless clothing and its direct implications for their work.

Servant leadership is positioned as a new field of research for leadership scholars. We conducted bibliometric review by using 150 peer-reviewed articles from Web of Science database. The data collection period was from 1990 to 2025 as to provide comprehensive reflection on this topic. We used VoSviewers Software for data analysis. This review generated themes such as servant leadership in hospitality sector, leadership and work engagement, servant leadership as a key driver for innovation, gender, leadership and job outcomes, a review of diversified leadership styles. This review advance our understanding by looking Servant leadership in European perspective as it is an under-explored context. Theoretically, this research contributes to body of knowledge on moral leadership literature. This research provides fresh guidelines on servant leadership for organizations to adopt moral leadership as it is most needed nowadays due to financial scandals and unethical practices.

Ensuring safety in seaport navigation is of paramount importance for the protection of lives, accident prevention, and environmental preservation. This paper highlights the significance of regular training and qualification upgrades for port personnel, pilots, and mariners to enhance their knowledge and understanding of navigational safety procedures, local regulations, best ship handling practices, and situational awareness. It emphasizes the importance of realistic and up-to-date navigation simulations, as outdated data and inaccurate simulation results can lead to erroneous conclusions. The study focuses on the Klaipeda Seaport and explores its navigational challenges. It also delves into the development of a detailed simulation model using advanced tools and methodologies. The effectiveness of the simulator in training, qualification improvement, and research is showcased, underscoring its contribution to navigational safety and seaport development.

Rail transport allows transporting large and heavy loads at relatively low transport costs, in observance of precise departure and arrival schedules, offering safety, reliability, regularity of transport, low dependence on weather conditions, and environmental friendliness, which have a positive impact on logistics decisions. More extensive use and development of railways is essential to meet the demand for sustainable transport, reduce road occupancy, environmental pollution and energy consumption. The Authors examine the importance of the synergies of railway transport, logistics and intermodal transport, as well as the analysis of the indicators and trends of freight transport by rail in Lithuania and recommendations for the development of rail freight transport. The application of expert judgment in order to create a plan for increasing the infrastructure capacity of railway lines, as well as for properly selected measures to increase the capacity of the infrastructure are emphasized.

New trends in contemporary economics, business and management : selected proceedings of the 14th international scientific conference “Business and management 2024, May 16–17, 2024, Vilnius, Lithuania, p. 136-144

The global climate is currently warming due to human activity. The period 2011–2020 was recorded as the warmest decade. CO2 produced by human activity is the biggest contributor to global warming. Since every ton of CO2 emitted contributes to global warming, all emissions reductions can help to slow it down. Currently, the cars used by the population still do not ensure a sufficient reduction of CO2 emissions. The purpose of paper is to investigate the potential of electromobility development as a means to mitigate CO2 emissions in EU countries. The research methodology: statistical and comparable analysis of environmental and economic factors influencing the electromobility development in EU countries during last decade were performed. The conclusions of paper provide results of electromobility development, the main obstacles and needed government policies and incentives.

This study aims to develop an algorithm to optimize road transport delivery costs, with a focus on warehouse selection and delivery planning. The main objectives are to reduce delivery costs and ensure supplier reliability. The study is confined to Ukraine’s southern regions. The algorithm, based on the Pareto front in a two-criteria transport problem, when applied, its selects two additional warehouses from five reserves, finds the best delivery plan, and reduces the total delivery route length, thereby cutting transportation costs. The study concludes by highlighting the algorithm’s potential to enhance transportation efficiency and reliability in Ukraine.
