Creative communication in English for specific purposes through multifaceted speaking in panel discussionsItem type:Publication, research article[2026][S1b][S008,H004][9]Creativity Studies, 2026, vol. 19, no. 1, p. 202-210In English for specific purposes, students need to manage dialogue as well as prepared delivery; yet, classroom speaking tasks often underemphasize how prepared language is extended into co-constructed interaction. This study examines how a panel discussion format, taught as an extension of preparation, fosters speaking, defined as the coordinated use of planned contributions, reasoning, audience alignment, and collaborative synthesis. The study was conducted at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania, with 68 undergraduates in creative programmes. The intervention consisted of preparation with explicit language aims, a peer-moderated panel with audience questions, and a structured debrief. Evidence was collected through a Mentimeter survey. Results indicate increased confidence in discussion, faster retrieval of discipline-specific vocabulary, turn-taking, and readiness to move beyond rehearsed material. The contribution lies in operationalizing multifaceted speaking as an interactional route to creative communication within English for specific purposes through a repeatable panel design with transfer to pitches, critiques, and short presentations.
Assessing the progress of EU countries towards achieving the Sustainable Development GoalsItem type:Publication, [ES šalių pažangos vertinimas siekiant tvarios plėtros tikslų]research article[2026][S4][S004,S005][7]; Mokslas – Lietuvos ateitis. Ekonomika ir vadyba = Science – Future of Lithuania. Economics and management, 2026, vol. 18, no. mla.2026.25026, p. 1-7This study evaluates the extent to which European Union countries are meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It analyses a range of factors to measure the progress being made. The research pays attention to areas such as reducing poverty, promoting gender equality and examining labour markets. The AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was utilised to determine the importance of the indicators, while the COPRAS method was applied to evaluate and rank the countries according to the effectiveness of their sustainable development policies. The data indicated that Finland, Denmark, and Sweden are at the leading positions in implementing sustainable development, whereas Germany and Spain show less favourable results. The analysis also showed that the main factors impacting sustainable development are the risk of poverty, the gender unemployment gap and long-term unemployment.
7 Work environment in contemporary organisations: The cultural structuring of internal communicationItem type:Publication, research article[2025][S4][S003,S004,S008]; ; Mokslas ir edukaciniai procesai = Science and processes of education, 2025, no. 2(40), p. 5-19This study examines how cooperative and competitive organisational cultures differ in their use of internal communication channels, addressing a research gap in understanding communication tools as culturally shaped rather than technologically neutral. Integrating organisational culture theory with contemporary internal communication scholarship, the study analyses survey data on employees’ evaluations of physical and digital communication channels to strengthen two different organizational cultures – cooperative and competitive. The channels include chat applications, collaboration platforms, email, and remote meeting tools. Findings show that cooperative cultures favour dialogic, collaborative, and synchronous channels that support participation and relational cohesion. In contrast, competitive cultures prefer structured, efficiency-driven, and top-down communication that reinforces clarity, accountability, and rapid coordination. Some tools, such as remote meetings, exhibit flexible functions across cultures. The findings reveal clear cultural distinctions. Cooperative cultures strongly prefer dialogic, collaborative, and synchronous communication channels that support participation and relational cohesion. Competitive cultures rely more heavily on structured, efficiency-driven, and top-down channels that emphasise clarity, performance alignment, and rapid coordination. Some tools, such as remote meetings, exhibit flexible affordances, functioning as relational spaces in cooperative cultures and as performance-oriented briefings in competitive ones. These results demonstrate that internal communication acts as a mediating mechanism through which cultural values are enacted and organisational outcomes – such as engagement, identification, psychological safety, and coordination – are produced. The study advances theory by positioning internal communication as a mediating mechanism through which cultural values are enacted, and organisational outcomes emerge. Practical implications highlight the need to align communication systems with artistic orientation and to adapt digital tools during cultural change initiatives.

Ekonomika ir vadyba = Science – Future of Lithuania. Economics and management, 2025, vol. 17, no. mla.2025.25017, p. 1-9Rapid technological development and related global challenges encourage the industrial sector to seek innovative solutions that would allow it to adapt to increasingly stringent environmental requirements and, at the same time, ensure the sustainability of its operations. Research shows that the industrial sector is experiencing the most significant impact due to growing requirements to reduce negative environmental impacts; therefore, the need to implement environmentally friendly processes is increasing. One of the most promising directions in this area is the integration of reverse logistics into the supply chains of industrial enterprises. Reverse logistics creates the prerequisites for reducing the ecological footprint, rational use of natural esources, reducing waste disposed of in landfills, and optimising energy costs. This article aims to analyse the possibilities of applying reverse logistics and its contribution to reducing the ecological footprint of different industrial sectors. The study is based on a systematic analysis of scientific literature and secondary data. The results of the study can be significant in shaping sustainable industrial policies and helping companies make strategic decisions related to the use of secondary raw materials, waste reduction and management of return product flows. The results of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis comparing forward and reverse logistics processes showed that the application of reverse logistics has the potential to improve environmental performance. By modeling different situations, it was determined that reverse logistics is more efficient from an environmental point of view than traditional direct logistics. Article in English. 1 Possibilities for evaluation to foster the soft skills of critical thinking, creativity, and communication in higher educationItem type:Publication, research article[2025][S1b][S008][17]Creativity studies, 2025, vol. 18, no. 1, p. 13-29Soft skills are the foundation of a solid and consistent lifelong education in a changing world. Students’ self-reported achievement motivation is a good indicator of their level of self-awareness. A rigorous assessment of the process’ results is necessary for an effective soft skill education program. There are significant flaws in the way the university’s curriculum handles soft skill assessments. Therefore, the question is: given the resources at hand, how can one properly ascertain which soft skills requirements change the most over a university education? To identify changes at the start and finish of studies and prepare instruction for soft skill suggestions during university studies, this study intends to measure the differences in self-assessment indicators of students’ creativity, critical thinking, and communicative abilities in university settings. The purpose of this study is to verify a variety of tools for assessing students’ soft skills and figure out how effectively they can recognize variations throughout multiple university study stages. This could aid in the preparation of recommendations for soft skill instruction in courses, which could be beneficial for university graduates’ future employment. Among first- and last-year university students, a self-assessment study on soft skills was conducted. The results show that students’ soft skills are not equally impacted by their university education. The critical thinking abilities of first- and fourth-year students only tend to improve but do not differ reliably.

Aplinkos inžinerija = Science – future of Lithuania. Environmental engineering, 2025, vol.
