In this final master thesis, we are modeling flow-through electroporation chamber. In the literature review section we are discussing the applications of electroporation as well as techniques which allow for large sample volume processing. In methodical part we are describing the boundary conditions, presenting model schemes. Using software COMSOL Multiphysics v5.4, based on finite element method, we have investigated the electrical field strength within the flow-through electroporation chamber in order to determine the influence, that parts dimensions has, over electric field distribution. It was determined that the electrical field strength at any given point, within the electroporation zone, depends on the relationship between the shortest current path to the given point length and this path's revolution around the symmetry axis of electroporation chamber. Using the conclusions of the electric field distribution investigation, we have designed two flow-through electroporation chambers. Calculated the electrical resistance (7,9 k? for the first design, 3,79 k? for the second) as well as power required (1,55 kW for the first, 3,69 kW for the second). Recommendations were presented for the fluid inlet speed. It was determined that first design can process 245 ml/h, second 414 ml/h of sample volume. The maximal temperature increase within the electroporation zone after one pulse was 2,95 K in case of design one and 3,41 K in case of the second design.Structure: introduction, goals, literature overview, method of investigation, results, conclusions, references.
