Disertacijos tema paskelbti 7 moksliniai straipsniai: trys – referuojamuose Clarivate Analytics Web of Science duomenų bazės leidiniuose, turinčiuose citavimo rodiklį, vienas – konferencijų medžiagoje, referuojamoje Clarivate Analytics Web of Science duomenų bazėje, du – kitų tarptautinių duomenų bazių leidiniuose ir vienas konferencijos medžiagoje. Disertacijos tema skaityti 3 pranešimai tarptautinėse ir Lietuvos mokslinėse konferencijose.
This dissertation analyses the bolted connection with the curved end plates be- tween a steel-concrete composite column and a steel beam. Such a connection may represent a valuable solution to the lack of economical connections, which could be adapted to the circular shape of the column while eliminating on-site welding. Moreover, such a connection opens the possibility of using bolts with extensions that could be properly anchored within the concrete-filled steel tubes, increasing the strength and stiffness of such joints. Thus, a more optimal design of columns could be offered as the connection’s strength would be less dependent on the column tube’s thickness. Nevertheless, the implementation of such connec- tions is vain due to the absence of analytical models. Hence, this thesis aims to study the behaviour of bolted connection between a circular steel-concrete com- posite column and a steel beam, and with the account of that, propose an analytical model of a curved T-stub in tension. The dissertation comprises an introduction, three chapters, general conclu- sions and references. The introduction presents the investigated problem, discusses the thesis’s rel- evance, defines the research object, formulates the aim and objectives, describes the research methodology, discusses the scientific novelty with the practical sig- nificance of results and provides the defended statements. The first chapter contains the literature review in which the different connec- tion types between circular concrete-filled steel tubes and steel beams were ex- plored. It also presents the spun concrete technology and introduces the composite effect of the short hollow core steel-concrete columns. The second chapter describes the experimental research and presents its find- ings. In the third chapter, the analytical model is presented for evaluating bolt forces in the curved T-stubs within the elastic range together with the parametric analysis, which studies the influence of the curvature on the T-stub’s behaviour. Moreover, tested connections were additionally modelled in the finite element analysis software to study the sensitivity of the particular parameters on the be- haviour of the connection. There are seven scientific papers published on the subject of this dissertation: three articles in the reviewed scientific journals referenced in the Clarivate Ana- lytics Web of Science database and have a citation index; one in conference pro- ceedings referenced in the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science database; two in an international database; and one in conference proceedings. The results of the con- ducted research were also presented at three conferences at the national and inter- national levels.
