The final master's thesis examines the energy consumption of the hexapod robot, the gaits, the leg actuators. An overview of energy consumption reduction research methods. In this research was analized the dependence of the foot actuators energy consumption on the parameters of the robot step. How energy consumption depends on walking gaits. In the theoretical part, three gaits are described: tetrapod, tripod and wave. There was a decision made to examine the most current and most commonly used gaits, which is tripod and wave. Results were equalized in each walk separately and in each other. After examining the tests, graphical analysis shows that the most efficient hexapod robot actuators work when the step parameters are the lowest. And when the gait is aligned, the wavy gait is more effective.
