Baigiamojo magistro darbo tyrimo objektas - vėžiui gydyti skirta architektūra ir teigiamai paciento būklę veikiantys jos bruožai. Darbo problematika -per vangiai suvokiama architektūrinės erdvės poveikio paciento savijautai svarba bei dichotomiškas žmogaus sveikatos supratimas, kartu veikiantis ir kuriamą gydymo architektūrą.Šio darbo pagrindinis uždavinys - apibrėžti gerai paciento būseną veikiančios erdvės bruožus ir atsižvelgiant į tai pasiūlyti kokybišką vėžio priežiūrai skirtą architektūrinę erdvę. Remiantis literatūriniais šaltiniais, projektų analogais, kognityvinės architektūros teorijos žiniomis bei kitais tyrimo metu atrastais pavyzdžiais siekiama pabrėžti vėžio architektūros aktualumą ir įrodyti, kad erdvė gali palengvinti vėžiu sergančio paciento sveikimo procesą. Tyrimų dalyje atrastos žinios padėjo sukurti projekto pasiūlymą, sujungiantį tiek fizinius, tiek psichologinius paciento poreikius. Holistinio tipo funkcinė struktūra apima tiek radioterapijos, tiek ir psichologinės terapijos gydymui skirtų erdvių poreikius, kartu skiriant ir ilgesniam pacientų apsistojimui skirtas gyvenamąsias erdves. Be konceptualiai išpildytų funkcinių ir erdvinių sprendimų, projektu siekiama naujai įprasminti vietovę ir sukurti vietinį traukos tašką lankytojams.
The object of the research of the final master's thesis is the architecture for the treatment of cancer and its features that have a positive effect on the patient's condition. The problem of the work is too poorly understood the importance of the impact of architectural space on the patient's well-being and the dichotomous understanding of human health, which also affects the development of the treatment architecture. The main task of this work is to define the features of a space that works well for the patient's condition and, accordingly, to offer a high-quality architectural space for cancer care. Based on literature sources, project analogues, knowledge of cognitive architecture theory, and other examples found in the study, the aim is to emphasize the relevance of cancer architecture and to demonstrate that space can facilitate the healing process of a cancer patient. The knowledge discovered in the research section helped to create a project proposal that combined both the physical and psychological needs of the patient. The functional structure of the holistic type includes the needs of both radiotherapy and psychological treatment spaces, while also allocating living spaces for longer patient stays. In addition to conceptually fulfilled functional and spatial solutions, the project aims to give a new meaning to the area and create a local attraction for visitors.
