Investigation of the Magnetic Field Distribution in Pulsed Inductors Using the CMR-B Scalar Sensors
Bukauskas, Mykolas | Elektrotechnikos katedra |
Magistrinio darbo apimtis - 49 lapai be priedų, 24 iliustracijos, 1 lentelė, 25 bibliografinis šaltinis.
In this master of science thesis the magnetic field distribution in two pulsed inductors was investigated. First of all electrical circuit of pulsed magnetic field generator was created and studied by using computer tools (LT Spice computer software). Single-layer low-field and four-layer high-field inductors were chosen for simulation of electrical current and magnetic flux density. The reliability of model was tested experimentally. The axial magnetic field distribution inside and outside inductors was investigated experimentally by using ”loop” sensor and CMR-B-scalar sensor based on colossal magnetoresistance effect in manganite films. It was demonstrated that small-size CMR-B-scalar sensors are preferable for magnetic field distribution measurements in comparison with ”loop” sensors, when large gradients of magnetic flux density appear or magnetic field direction changes. It was obtained that the simulation results coincide well with the experimental data in the center of the inductors' bore. However, in the vicinity of the edge of the inductors a disagreement of 12 % was found for the single-layer low-field inductor and 35% for four-layer high-field inductor in comparison with the CMR-B-scalar sensor. Finally, the recommendations of improvement of magnetic field distribution investigation in pulsed inductors were presented. The work consists of introduction, literature review, research and experiments, general conclusions, references. The length of Master's thesis - 49 pages without appendixes, 24 figures, 1 table, 25 bibliographical entries.
