Andžs Melderis is a 2nd year Environmental Science Master student at the Riga Technical University, who also participate in the double degree program in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania and an author of the Master thesis with title ”Optimization Of Building Management Systems By Using Building User Feedback”.The main aim of the Master thesis is to develop a methodology for analyzing and optimizing building management systems with intention of reducing energy costs and increasing the comfort of building occupants. To achieve the aim, several tasks were fulfilled: review of the scientific literature,. the habits of energy consumption and usage of the building were analyzed, data simulation was performed by changing only in the building's occupants habit data. Within the framework of the master's thesis there was a limitation to study energy consumption in the office building sector as one of the listed values in statistics, as well as one of those sectors which is a passive investor in the field of energy efficiency. During the research, the main errors in building management system settings were identified, the reasons for the small investment in energy efficiency were found, and recommendations were made for both troubleshooting and maintaining the energy management systemConclusions of the research and recommendations can be found at the end of the Master thesis.Master thesis consists of 56 pages, 18 figures and 4 annexes. Master thesis comprises 28 literature references.
