Apimtis: 85 puslapių teksto be priedų, 22 paveikslai, 1 lentelė, 62 literatūros šaltiniai, 1 priedas pridedamas atskirai.
Automotive industry is one of the most technology-based industries and it highly follows industry 4.0 features. There are also huge expectations from the customer base in terms of new features in the vehicles. The demand of the decade to produce as many smart vehicles as possible. So, most of the companies in the industry are trying to follow integration methods. This thesis studies different integration that took place in the past and analyzed if it was successful or a failure and the respective reasons for the outcome. It was found that most of the integrations that failed were cross-border. Then more case studies were analyzed to understand the reasons for failure and how it could be improved. The empirical part of the thesis covers multiple case studies to study failed cross-border integration in the automotive industry. The reasons found were cultural differences, regulatory frameworks etc. A survey was also conducted and the responses from the industry personnel showed important features of the integration and its different impacts. This assessment of the real-life failed cases and questionnaire allowed to form a regression equation and in turn a solution model was created using python. Conclusions and references were presented.Structure: introduction, literature review and scientific study on the impact of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, engineered methods used in these studies, empirical research, and analysis of the results from the research, solution and improvement model of the process that should be followed to have a successful integration, conclusions, references, and appendices.Scope: 85 pages of text without appendix, 22 figures, 1 table, 62 references, 1 appendix are included separately.
