The peculiarities of a linear induction machine, the principle and characteristics of its operation, the analysis of braking procedure are analyzed; and the differences between high-speed and low-speed engines are discussed in the final work. The linear induction motor is examined in static. The final results of the analysis are the composition of static braking characteristics. The model of linear induction motor is composed on the base of Mathcad programmer parcel. Varying the parameters of the secondary element of the linear induction motor (the width of air gap, the no ferromagnetic layer, the step of the pole, the number of the poles, the length of the windings and the Reynolds constant) the static characteristics of the low-speed induction motor are obtained. The results are attained in graphic shape. Those results are analyzed and generalized. The conclusions of the research are introduced. The further research of the linear induction motors should be oriented towards the optimal realization problems of dynamoelectric systems with linear induction motors.
