Darbo tema - „Šviesoforų poreikio Laisvės prospekte tyrimai”. Darbe analizuojama esama Laisvės pr. padėtis miesto gatvių tinklo struktūroje, transporto ir pėsčiųjų srautai pagrindinėse sankryžose bei perėjose. Remiantis atliktų tyrimų rezultatais įvertinti patiriami transporto laiko nuostoliai, sankryžų pralaidumas, nustatytas gatvių ir sankryžų funkcionavimo lygis (LOS). Laisvės pr. transporto srautų optimizavimui siūloma įrengti šviesoforų valdymą, veikiantį „žalio bangos” principu, prioritetinėse pėsčiųjų perėjose įrengti šviesoforus su žalio signalo iškvietimo mygtuku. Laisvės pr. modernizavimo priemonės leistų sumažinti neigiamą poveikį aplinka ir patiriamus transporto laiko nuostolius, pagerintų eismo saugumąDarbe tiriami esami transporto ir pėsčiųjų srautai, jų poveikis bendram miesto gatvių ir sankryžų apkrovimui. Laivės pr. esamos transporto būklės pagerinimui siūlomos infrastruktūros atnaujinimo priemonės, kurios leistų sumažinti transporto laiko nuostolius sankryžose, užtikrintų eismo saugumą, sumažintų aplinkos taršą.
Subject of the work - „Research of the Need for Traffic Lights in Laisvės Avenue”. Present condition of Laisvės Avenue in the structure of the city streets network as well as traffic and pedestrians flows in the main intersections and pedestrian crossings are being analyzed in the work. Transport delays and intersections saturation flows were measured as well as streets and intersections level of service (LOS) was established, referring to the results of the carried out research. It is recommended to implement traffic lights control, which would be working on the bases of ”green wave”, and to install traffic lights with the green light calling button in underlying pedestrian crossings for optimization of transport flows in Laisvės Avenue. Modernisation measures of Laisvės Avenue would enable to reduce the negative impact on environment and transport delays, and would improve road safety. Present traffic and pedestrians flows, their impact on overall loading of the city streets and intersections are being examined in the work. Measures of facilities renewal, which would lead to reduction of transport delays in intersections, would guarantee road safety and would reduce environmental pollution, are suggested for the improvement of the present situation in Laisvės Avenue.
