Research on Dynamic Properties of Internal Combustion Engine's Connecting Rod
Darbą sudaro 56 puslapiai (be priedų), 67 paveikslai, 13 lentelės ir 13 literatūros šaltinių. Pridedami priedai.
Connecting rods plays an immense role in reciprocating engines, where it is placed in between piston and the crankshaft, thus resulting in linear power delivery from the reciprocating engine Decidedly, conrods are one of the complex components that are produced high in numbers around the world. Nonetheless, failure in conrods is perpetual irrespective of the number of engineering researches involved. This research is focused on the structural rigidity of conrods, their dynamic behavior and materials on which they are manufactured. In consideration of all these parameters, a connecting rod for an internal combustion engine is modelled in AutoCAD Inventor and analyzed using ANSYS software. Through the software simulation, this research gives an understanding of failures in conrods of smaller engine capacities and data to make them more reliable and failproof. Thesis structure consists of an introduction, literature review, theoretical research, experimental research, result analysis, conclusion and references. The thesis consists of 56 pages(without appendixes), 67 pictures, 13 tables and 13 references. Appendixes included.
