The novelty of the topic studied in this work is the behavior of wood concrete residual formwork filled solely with polyurethane foam. In the current construction process, concrete is used to form structures, the production of which consumes a lot of cement, and during the production of which a lot of carbon dioxide is released into the environment due to the combustion process. This work examines whether it is possible to abandon concrete in low-rise construction, and at the same time cement as a significant component. The work studies the properties of solid wood concrete, such as density, absorption, compressive strength, the structure of one-component and two-component polyurethane foams, the thermal conductivity of two-component polyurethane foams and the compressive strength of wood concrete blocks filled with polyurethane foam. After conducting a review of the scientific literature, it was not found that wood concrete blocks filled with polyurethane foam have been studied by anyone. The methods of testing the manufactured construction product, applied to determine its density, absorption, compressive strength and thermal conductivity, are described, and the possibilities of use are discussed. The theoretical thermal resistance and thermal conductivity of a wall detail of wood concrete blocks, plastered on both sides and filled with polyurethane foam, are calculated.
