The master's thesis examines the potential of urban structures to alleviate the transmission of airborne diseases in cities. Pandemics of such diseases have inevitably affected the formation of cities, and to this day the question of how to prevent the spread of pandemics through urban strategies is raised again. However, the strategies used in the past are no longer relevant and new ways of mitigating pandemics must be sought while preserving the density of the city and avoiding urban sprawl. The paper analyzes the specific linear structure of the transit city of Radviliškis, its space and communication systems, in order to identify which and what kind of internal territorial resources could be used to help suppress pandemic transmission. An alternative concept of utilization of territorial resources is proposed, which is applied to the axis running from Radviliškis railway station to Radviliškis city culture and recreation park and then crosses Šiaulių street and enters the newly formed quarter revealing the potential of utilization of internal territorial reserves. The connection between the park and the newly formed quarter is detailed to reveal not only the urban tools for mitigating pandemic transmissions, but also the architectural strategies. These principles are integrated into each other and into the overall urban system of the city and reveal an alternative environment that suppresses and adapts to the problem currently afflicting cities globally - the pandemic. At the end of the work, the consequences of the proposed solutions are evaluated, conclusions and suggestions are presented.Structure: introduction,analytical-methodical, experimental-research, experimental- design parts, conclusions and suggestions, references.
