Darbe atlikta mokslinės literatūros apžvalga apie biologinį oro valymo metodą, jo pritaikymą lakiųjų organinių junginių valymui bei naudotų padangų gumos granulių pritaikymą biofiltracijos procese. Eksperimentiniai tyrimai buvo atliekami kaip įkrovą naudojant devulkanizuotas naudotų padangų gumos granules, susmulkintas be plaušo bei susmulkintas su plaušu naudotų padangų gumos granules. Atliktų eksperimentinių tyrimų metu nustatytos biofiltro oro valymo efektyvumo priklausomybė nuo į biofiltrą tiekiamo užteršto oro srauto greičio ir įrenginio įkrovos sluoksnių skaičiaus, pastoviai drėkinant vandeniu. Tyrimai buvo atliekami ant biofiltro įkrovos užauginus lakiuosius organinius junginius skaidančius mikroorganizmus. Eksperimentinių tyrimų metu atlikti mikrobiologiniai tyrimai parodė, kad biofiltro įkrovoje yra gyvuojančių mikroorganizmų (pelėsinių grybų), kurie skaido lakiuosius organinius junginius. Tyrimų metu buvo nustatytos filtro efektyvumas nuo per įrenginį traukiamo oro srauto greičio bei įkrovos skaičiaus, esant skirtingiems teršalų tipams bei trijų skirtingų teršalų skirtingoms pradinėms koncentracijoms valomame oro sraute. Tyrimams atlikti naudoti trys skirtingi lakūs organiniai junginiai: acetonas, butanolis ir ksilenas. Pradinės šių teršalų koncentracijos valomame ore: 400 ± 5 mg/m3 , 250 ± 5 mg/m3 ir 180 ± 5 mg/m3. Į biofiltrą tiekiamo oro srauto greičiai kiekvienu atveju: 0,04 m/s; 0,06 m/s; 0,08 m/s, o filtracijos laikas atitinkamai lygus - 25 s, 17 s, 13 s.Darbą sudaro: įvadas, literatūros apžvalga, tiriamoji dalis bei rezultatai, matematinis modeliavimas, bendrosios išvados bei rekomendacijos, literatūros sąrašas.Darbo apimtis - 82 psl. teksto be priedų, 55 iliustracijos, 6 lentelės, 69 bibliografiniai šaltiniai.
The review of the scientific literature on the biological air purification method, its application to the purification of volatile organic compounds and the application of used tire rubber granules in the biofiltration process. Experimental studies were performed using devulcanized used tire rubber granules, shredded without fibers and shredded (with fibers) used tire rubber granules as a biofilter charge. Experimental studies have shown the dependence of the biofilter air purification efficiency on the flow rate of polluted air supplied to the biofilter and the number of charge layers in biofilter by constant irrigation with water. The studies were performed on the biofilter charge by growing microorganisms that degrade volatile organic compounds. Microbiological studies show that the biofilter charge contains living microorganisms (molds) that degrade volatile organic compounds. The efficiency of the filter was determined from the suction air flow rate and the number of loads at different pollutant types and at three different pollutant concentrations in the treated air stream. Three different volatile organic compounds were used in the study: acetone, butanol and xylene. Initial concentrations of these pollutants in the ais are 400 ± 5 mg/m3, 250 ± 5 mg/m3 and 180 ± 5 mg/m3. Air flow rates to the biofilter in each case: 0,04 m/s; 0,06 m/s; 0,08 m/s, and the filtration time is 25 s, 17 s, 13 s, respectively.
