Lead is one of heavy metals, which is very toxic. This element is found in wastwater, also can be found in drinking water. This work, examines lead removal from water by adsorption. In expirement we used three sorbents: clay, sapropel and rinsings that has iron. Results showed, that the most efective sorbent is sapropel. It has been determined that clay eleminates lead from what with 47-91 % of efficiency. Using sapropel it reaches 97 - 99% efficiency by removing lead and iron rinsing - 72 - 99 %. Experimental studies have shown that the most effective sorbent that eleminates lead from water is sapropel. In the studies with sapropel, optimal lead removal conditions was detected at intial concentration of 0,07 mg/l : sapropel dose of 0,1 g/l, mixing time of 30 min and best pH of lead removal in neutral medium - pH 7 lead concentration decreased from 0,07 mg/l to 0,00045 (~ 99 %).The structure of the thesis: scientific literature review, the methodologies use for the researches, results of researches, conclusions, reference. The thesis consist of 52 pages, 19 pictures, 9 tables, 44 literature entries.
