This paper examines the movement of a mobile robot, global positioning, and ways to improve them. First, the speed dependence of the mobile robot's movement and stopping at the required point is studied. The cases where the robot moves at maximum and average speed are considered. Secondly, investigating how accurately the dependence of the accuracy of the global position of the mobile robot can be determined at different times of day. Thirdly, methods are applied that can improve the accuracy of the robot's movement and stopping at the required point, using an additional inertial sensor, and methods that can improve the accuracy of the global position.Based on the results of the research, it was found that the position accuracy of the mobile robot can be increased by using a lower movement speed. However, using an inertial sensor makes the movement and stopping point much more accurate. At the same time, the maximum movement speed can be maintained. It was also established from the obtained data that the global situation studies conducted in the morning were more accurate compared to those conducted in the evening. However, applying an additional method of waiting for the GPS communication module to read a larger number of coordinates at one point and perform the average calculation gives a better result, with an accuracy of four meters. The work consists of 7 parts: introduction, literature analysis, theoretical part, research part, conclusions and suggestions, bibliography, appendices.
