The idea of project inspired by observing development of Vilnius. With increasing development of the southern part of the city highlights the main problem, especially discernible in Naujininkai and the city center area. Vilnius railway station infrastructural unit must be considered as identifying element of capitals major urban - architectural value. Currently, there is no clear spatial structure and composition. Švitrigailos street channel is unformed. In the center of the capital concentrated industrial heritage territories, especially, redundancy of railway railing, occupies from the neighbourhood the development potential worth territories. One of the most important problems is the lack of composite and functional links between the southern and central parts of the city. Vilnius railway station terminal in the center of the city is not the only case of such problem. The paper examined a similar problem has found examples of stations in the most appropriate solutions for the present development of the terminal complex. The main strategic goal - to improve the city's historical center and the access spaces, their structure and composition. To evaluate the impact on downtown areas and industrial heritage regeneration and specific opportunities. Final result - a new urban-architectural concept of Vilnius railway station infrastructural unit.
