Vilniaus senamiesčio skersgatviai: struktūra ir estetika
Baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjami Vilniaus senamiesčio skersgatvių struktūriniai, estetiniai ypatumai ir samprata skirtinguose sociokultūriniuose kontekstuose, jų vaidmuo dabartinėje senamiesčio struktūroje. Tam atliekamas detalus identifikuotų skersgatvių sisteminis tyrimas. Darbe naudojami teoriniai ir empiriniai analizės metodai.Pirmajame skyriuje, remiantis analizuojama ir su darbo tema susijusia medžiaga, formuluojamos skersgatvių struktūrinio ir estetinio pobūdžio tyrimo teorinės prielaidos, apžvelgiamas skersgatvio figūravimas istorinėje raidoje bei skirtinguose regionuose, įvertinamas teorinis traktavimas. Antrajame skyriuje apžvelgiama Vilniaus senamiesčio urbanistinė sankloda, miesto gatvių tinklo raida. Remiantis istorine bei ikonografine medžiaga, identifikuojamas 31 skersgatvis. Aptarus bendruosius tyrimo kriterijus bei metodiką, parengiama skersgatvių sistemingos analizės sistema, kurią naudojant, skersgatviai, sudalinus juos į sąlygines 20 m ilgio atkarpas, testuojami pagal 12 temų sugrupuotais 193 indikatoriais. Atlikus analizę, statistinio grupavimo būdu gauti rezultatai klasifikuojami, palyginami bei interpretuojami, pasitelkus asmenines ir literatūros nagrinėjime įsisavintas žinias, formuluojamos išvados.Baigiamąjį darbą sudaro įvadas, du skyriai, išvados, literatūros ir šaltinių sąrašas bei įliustracijų sąrašas, priedai. Darbo apimtis: 130 p. teksto be priedų, 132 iliustr. (iš jų 12 pačio autoriaus parengtų schemų), 3 autoriaus sudarytos lentelės, 131 bibliografinių šaltinis. Atskirai pridedami 2 priedai (viso 67 psl.), iš jų autoriaus parengta 5 schemos ir 31 lentelė.
This Master Thesis examines structural and aesthetic distinctiveness of the alleys of Vilnius Old Town, their conception in different socio-cultural contexts, and their function in contemporary old town structure. The analysis consists of a detailed and systematic investigation of a few particular alleys, conducted using both qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis. Based on research and examination of relevant resources, the first chapter presents assumptions with regards to structural and aesthetic nature of alleys, an overview of their historical and regional significance, and their theoretical background assessment. The second chapter presents an overview of Vilnius Old Town urban structure and the evolution of city street system. Thirty one particular alleys are identified with reference to historic and iconographic resources. A system for detailed alley analysis is prepared after considering general criteria and methodology of investigation. The system allows for detailed testing of alleys by dividing them into conditional 20 meter long segments and by using 193 indicators grouped under 12 themes. Results of the analysis are obtained by using statistical grouping methods. Results are classified based on individual insight as well knowledge obtained through relevant literature. They are compared and interpreted, and followed by conclusions. The Master Thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, general conclusions, a list of literature and reference sources, and a list of illustrations and appendixes. The volume of the Master Thesis is 130 pages of plain text without appendixes, 132 illustrations (among them 12 schemes made by the author), 3 tables made by the author and 131 bibliographical sources. Two appendixes (67 pages in total) are provided separately, from which 5 schemes and 31 tables are also provided by the author.
