Baigiamajame magistro darbe nagrinėjama žmogaus emocijų reikšmė architektūros ir urbanistikos raidoje skirtingais istorijos laikotarpiais bei emocines patirtis formuojančios miesto audinio savybės. Siekiant atskleisti nagrinėjamą problematiką, geografinės informacijos sistemų (GIS) analizės ir gyventojų apklausos metodais įvertintas Vilniaus miesto audinys emociniu aspektu. Nustatytos teritorijos, kuriose emocinis atsakas į aplinką yra labiausiai nevienalytis ir reikalaujantis intervencijos, identifikuotos urbanistinės projektavimo priemonės, galinčios kryptingai modeliuoti emocines patirtis mieste. Darbo eksperimentinėje – projektinėje dalyje priemonių taikymas iliustruojamas parengiant urbanistinę pėsčiojo judėjimo trasos koncepciją Švitrigailos gatvei Vilniuje, Naujamiestyje (rajono masteliu) ir vieno iš trasos mazgų detalizaciją (kvartalo – viešosios erdvės masteliu). Baigiamąjį darbą sudaro tekstinė byla, grafinė medžiaga bei maketai. Tekstinės bylos sudėtis: įvadas, analitinė metodinė, eksperimentinė-tiriamoji, eksperimentinė-projektinė dalys, išvados ir priedai. Tekstinės bylos apimtis 73 p. teksto be priedų, 68 iliustr., 3 lent., 27 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. Grafinę dalį sudaro 10 vertikalių planšetų (4200 mm x 2000 mm) ir du maketai (1:2000, 1:500).
This master's thesis explores the significance of human emotions in the development of architecture and urban planning across different historical periods, as well as the characteristics of urban fabric that shape emotional experiences. To address the research problem, the emotional dimension of Vilnius’ urban structure is assessed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis and a resident survey. Areas with the most heterogeneous emotional responses to the environment—indicating a need for intervention—were identified, along with urban design tools capable of intentionally shaping emotional experiences within the city. In the experimental–design part of the thesis, the application of these tools is illustrated through the conceptual development of a pedestrian movement route along Švitrigailos Street in Vilnius (urban district scale), including the detailed design of one of the key nodes (urban block / public space scale). The final thesis consists of a textual part, graphic material, and models. The textual part includes the following sections: introduction, analyticalmethodological part, experimental-research part, experimental-design part, conclusions, and appendices. The volume of the textual part is 73 pages of text (excluding appendices), 68 illustrations, 3 tables, and 27 bibliographic sources. The graphic part comprises 10 vertical presentation boards (4200 mm × 2000 mm) and two models (scales 1:2000 and 1:500).
