Experimental Research of Process of Robot Approach to Thin Objects

Humans can easily grasp objects of different shapes neglecting the fact that the objects of different in shapes and may be fragile or easily deformable by nature. To make the grasping process easier with the help of robots and in order to make it simple, the actuators in the fingered robotic grippers are made in to soft, deformable substance.If the object to be grasped or pinched is said to be fragile, the actuators should be soft enough to grasp it, considering the shear movement. Also, in case of deformable objects, the actuators are meant to adapt the stiffness required to grasp the object such as paper, or a leaf.Robots using vacuum in order to pick an object is good but when it comes for an over weighted object, it fails. In this paper, I am going to discuss about the robotic grippers which actuates with intrinsic electro adhesion force, which enables to manipulate deformable, fragile and also thin objects of any shape (even a paper)with a single control signal .In this project , I preferred to use a two fingered gripper.
