The final master's thesis investigates the city bus steering wheels, their cognitive link with the driver, and the driver's workplace. Following the completion of the established aims and objectives, especial importance is attached to the bus driver's steering wheel, which requires specific attention to form and functionality. As a result, a case study was conducted to determine the standard button and their position. Experimental research is divided into two stages within methodological research. Following the first phase of an observational study aimed at better understanding the driver's workplace, intuitive, and cognitive behavior. An analysis of anthropometric data was also performed. Template button schemes were drawn and standard questions were generated for the experiment participants based on the results of the analysis and the defined methodological guidelines for qualitative and quantitative research. The investigation revealed which button patterns were the best and most effective in terms of participants' response time after the experiment. The results of the second study fully confirm the theory of hypothesis (Can the minimum number of buttons and their cross-arrangement achieve the most efficient switch integrity in the design of a city bus steering wheel?). A city bus steering wheel conceptual idea and a prototype model were built based on the results of experimental research and after all design methodology stages.
