Šiame darbe nagrinėjama AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai” Krovinių vežimo direkcijos krovinių apyvarta ir nomenklatūra, pateiktas prekinių šilumvežių racionalaus naudojimo tyrimas. Pateikta vagonų parko analizė pagal vagonų rūšis: cisterniniai, dengtieji, pusvagoniai, mineralvežiai, platforminiai ir kiti vagonai; gaunamos naudojant šiuos vagonus pajamos ir išlaidos, bei jų apkrovimas, pateikta krovinių srautų prognozė iki 2025 metų.
