Recently there are more than 10 thousand seafarers in Lithuania, who are acting and competing in global labour market for seafarers. About 3 thousand of them are marine officers. The investigation considers the evidence that seafarers' age profiles, inflow of new seafarers and wastage of seafarers, switching their career, determine future amount of specialists. Using presented predictive model, talking into consideration age profile, inflow of young specialists and wastage of seafarers, evaluation of fututre changes in Lithuanian seafaring staff was performed, forecast of deck officers and engineer officers staff up to 2023 was made.
