Abstract (en)
Business rules approach can be applied in many different domains. There are still many unanswered questions in business rules approach implementation and most systems are modelled and implemented ignoring the principles of business rules approach. The concept of business is used generally in this paper and it is proposed to apply the business rules approach in the systems fundamentally different from traditional business systems - clinical trials. Clinical trials are specific kind of business system and the appliance of business rules approach in clinical trials may automate the design of the trial and the implementation of clinical trial procedures.
