IPPC applies to farms used for the intensive rearing of pigs, one of which has been chosen to analyse in this work. Environmental impact of pig farming sector as well as best available techniques for pig farms is reviewed in this paper. The aim of this work is to investigate soil pollution by metals (copper and zinc) in the farm, which belongs to equipments of annex no. 1. The results of research will be taken into account when the decision about BAT in enterprise will be made.
