Abstract (en)

Development of previous and present methods of analysis of foundation and structures and their further evolution tendencies in respect to reliability level determination and security of this level are discussed in this article. Probability- economical aspects of analysis of foundations and structures according to ENV 1991-1 and SNiP are discussed seperately. It is shown that it is necessary to allow for social-economical differences between Central-Eastern and Western Europe countries in application of Western code ENV 1991-1 for Central and Eastern countries. Proposal is presented how ENV 1991-1 code should be used in Lithuania.
