The main pollutants contaminating soil are organic compounds (oil and its products, fats etc.), metals, household waste. Comparing to oil and its products, household waste and fats are contaminating soil not so heavily. Additionally, these pollutants are released mostly from domestic sewage which are usually purified. Growing requirements to environment risk prevention are forcing to have and use sorbents. There shall be their supplies in potential places of pollution with oil products. In order to evaluate sufficiency of their amunt, detailed investigation of oil-product sorption is required. Additionally, sorbents shall meet environmental requirements: easily collected, residual sorbents have no harmful impact to nature, biodegradable, with prospective disposal possibilities.
