Abstract (en)

The article deals with the methodology applied in carrying out experimental researches, which should provide answers to questions related to the processes that take place in filter gravel when removing iron and manganese from aerated underground water by one-power filtration. The methodology consists of the following Chapters: 1. Introduction. 2. Short characteristics of Pagiriai watering-place (Kirtimai watering-place junctions) and characteristics of its underground water. 3. Methods of experimental researches. 3.1. Experimental stand. 3.2. Filter gravels and filter speeds. 3.3. Determinate water quality quantites (amounts), indicators of microbiological status of filter gravels and technological parameters. 3.4. Control measures of the course of research processes. 3.5. Performance of experiments. 3.6. Sampling of water filter gravels for analysis and keeping of work register. 3.7. Processinng of experimental data conclusions.
