Abstract (en)
The two-dimensional steady-state viscid incompressible flow in a sluicegate is investigated in this work. The sluicegate problem has a wide practical application in hydraulics. The solution domain of the problem has complicated boundaries. The useful boundary conditions are formulated taking into account physical and numerical experiments. This problem is solved by the finite element method. The Galerkin weighted residual approach is applied to the development of the finite element. An isoparametric quadrilateral finite elements are used.
