In independent Lithuania by the end of Second World War the market of textbook’s had alredy been formed. The teacher of different subjects could shoose the textbook he liked best. It stimulated the authors of the textbooks to be careful preparing them. During the Soviet occupation monopolism became firmly established. The market of textbooks failed. Now it has to be restored.
