By age and spell of unemployment it is possible to distinct three main disadvantaged groups in Lithuanian labour market: youth under 25, elderly people registered in labour exchange and long-term unemployed. One of the most important groups is elderly pople who have fewer possibilities to be employed than the youth has. The situation of elderly people in labour market is analysed in this article.
