The modern fire research is given the task of fixing a fireplace with the maximum possible precision and finding the most accurate data of fire duration and other parameters of the fire development process (i.e. temperature, fire spreading ways, etc.), there is an urgent necessity to improve the instrumental method, witch is applicable in fire research practice in Lithuania, by extending the potentials of its application. The completed tests have revealed some drawbacks of the instrumental method, therefore, the obtained test results will help to further resolve the problems of reliability of the above-mentioned method.
