The infulence of the nut structure upon load distribution along threads is analyzed. Comparison of the load and local stress distributions along threads in the connection M16ˣ2 with compression and tension nut was made for the case of eccentric loading. Differences of the maximum thread loads and of the sresses in the thread roots of the stud are considered in detali. Distributions of the axial load and bending moment for the stud have been calculated analytically by using the full profile thread deflection indices obtained from the single turn pair tension test.
