The paper presents braking problems of linear induction motor. Spectral method has been applied for the analysis of electromagnetic braking processes allowing to evaluate the effects of the motor edges as well as the velocity variations of the secondary element. There have been received and evaluated the aspects of the single-phase braking current volumetric density spectral characteristics for the motors with even, uneven and fractional number of induced zones.
