The main point of Total Quality Management lies in the fact that each road building enterprise and its suppliers, customers, designers, production users should function as an integral unit. The main difference between traditional planned management and Total Quality Management (TQM) reveals that success of an organization is substantially influenced by the training and qualification improvements of its employees. This paper concerns the investigation of attitudes of road building specialists to the main principles of TQM. For achieving a successful goal, methods of social investigations were used. According to recommendations from scientists a special questionnaire was prepared. Differences in attitudes to the main principles of TQM between various types of organizations, young and old specialists, males and females were investigated. Deviations from the recommended values were then established.
