Calculation results obtained with application of spatial models of bridge decks and with allowance for non-linear deformations have shown that engineering methods of analysis being used in France, and especially in the former USSR, leads to reduced action effects in some zones of decks. Recommendations to improve engineering methods are presented, but the USSR method is proposed to change essentially.
