Abstract (en)
The paper presents results of motion-time study of auxiliary and setting-up time of operation performed on CNC and conventional lathe. Three different CNC programming techniques were studied: G and M code programming, conversational (wizard-like) programming and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) programming. It is established that CNC lathes can be effectively used in individual or small-bath production workshops and repair shops when the number of parts in the bath varies from 1 to 4, depending on tool set-up conditions and programming technique.
