The paper considers relative efficiency, load-carryning capacity, and speed of road vehicles as well as methods of calculating their fuel consumption. The problems of calculating technological expenses in fright transportation by road transport and the dependence of the expenses involved on the distance covered by a vehicle and mass of cargo transported are also considered.
