The analysis of variations of the hard cosmic ray flux (HCRF) and decrease of atmospheric pressure in Vilnius is carried out. The processing of experimental data requires choosing empirical criteria in analysis of HCRF and atmospheric pressure change. The connection between variations of HCRF in interval of energy 1.2–1.6 MeV and decrease of atmospheric pressure was investigated. The gamma spectrometer with scintillation detector is used to measure HCRF near the ground surface. Every measurement takes 15 min. It means that the statistical data of measurements has been analyzed. The obtained results were registered by computer. The detailed information on meteorological situations was presented by the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service. It is necessary to consider the present investigation concerning a course of HCRF interval of energy 1.2–1.6 MeV while for the forecast of a course of atmospheric pressure within 6 day. The negative result of the forecast of atmospheric pressure decrease by HCRF variations depends on some natural factors as thunder-storm, baric field’s formations, sudden increase of anticyclonic activity etc.
