In this paper the results of empirical research on inter-firm and intra-firm business networking is presented. The research has been organized in the transport and logistics sector. Empirical research was based on case study method. The results of the research are structured in the three dimensions: structural, relational and usage. This structure lets to analyse networking phenomena from different perspectives and to compare different modes of business interaction. The results enclose more similarities than differences in the two types of networks and show that practices used in the one type of network could be implemented in the other one.
