Vaikų skurdas Lietuvoje ir jo tyrimo ypatumai

Abstract

The article analyses peculiarities of child poverty and distinguishes differences between child and adult poverty. The author of the article argues that it is essential to analyse income poverty as well as other indicators, demonstrating possibilities of children to access important social services (education, health care, etc.) of high quality when analysing and measuring child poverty. The information analysed in the article showed that expenditure of the Government spent on education and health care in Lithuania tend to decrease. Thus the shortage of these investments puts a higher burden on families' budgets, as all these costs have to be covered by households themselves.
