The main goal of this article is to evaluate the FDI impact on transformation of the Lithuanian banking sector. This article is introducing main steps of the development of the Lithuanian banking system.This article evaluates the FDI impact on transformation of the Lithuanian banking sector. The main benefits and arguments against the entry of foreign banks are introduced. The SCP approach has been chosen to evaluate the FDI impact on evolution of Lithuanian banking sector. Foreign banks that came to Lithuania have brought capital and larger financial resources but at the same time they suggested new financial services, imparted the experience and knowledge bringing stability into Lithuanian banking system.
