The simultaneous measurements of the volume activities of air near the earth's surface and dew under anticyclone conditions were carried out, and the parameter of non-radioactive removal of radioactive substances from air was calculated. The obtained data show that the dew formation takes significant part in the scavenging the boundary air layer. The analysis of the time trend in the change of the dew volume activity and the parameter of non-radioactive removal of pollutants from air leads to the conclusion that certainly the main dew activation mechanism is direct condensation of dew droplets on radioactive aerosols, which serve as condensation nuclei.
