USSR Code SNiP 2.04.05-86 is still valid in Lithuania. It contains a lot of valuable information, but does not reflect modern experience in full amount. On the other hand, any Western Code corresponds with the local conditions therefore Lithuanian Code is to be prepared. New requirements are notions (operative temperature, higher level of comfort, accordance with International Standards, more free selection of system and equipment) are included in the Code. This causes certain difficulties.
