Globality and internationality relate to the need of the intercultural development of students as future skilled specialists of maritime transport logistics technologies (MTLT). The object of the research is the intercultural development of MTLT students. The goal of the research is a discussion of the mentioned development applying altruism methodology. A possibility of students to achieve the competence of intercultural communication in a multicultural environment is based on the constructivist methodological principle in reference to altruism in a broad sense. Main methods such as a scientific literature analysis, extrapolation of altruism into the intercultural development and systemization were used in the research. The type of the research is theoretically descriptive. Anthropological level of this problem can advise to communicate with others creatively. A broader understanding of “other” concepts helps students realize the existential context, in which multicultural conditions are naturally accepted. So, the intercultural development of future maritime transport logistics specialists becomes more sustainable. The results of the research should be considered as the theoretical basis for an empirical investigation. They can be applied by preparing study programs related to the multicultural environment of collaboration in the maritime transport logistics area.
