Abstract (en)

New developments in the use of concrete are constantly taking place, and its wide application in the present will be exceeded by new and greater applications in the future. The workability of mixes and the quality of concrete may be improved by adjustments in the grading and inherent characteristics of the aggregate and by use of agents. Workability agents do not turn bad mixes into good ones, but they are a means of modifying or improving the properties that are already inherent in high-quality concrete.
