Mobility Management – the soft management measures that have occurred in Europe in the recent decades – is aimed at changing behavior of traffic participants, at promotion of engineless transport means and use of the public transport as an alternative for trips by car. Such measures include: giving information on different changes in and alternatives to the urban transport systems (special schedules, new types of passenger transport, dynamic management of routes, special fare system, on-line information on the exact time of coming/leaving, etc.); organizational measures (different events, campaigns promoting walking, cycling or taking public transport instead of a car. The best results are obtained when soft and strict (infrastructure development) measures are used simultaneously. All these measures help to economize resources and are economically more efficient than investment into motor transport traffic infrastructure.
