Model of linear induction motor in reference frame translating with synchronous speed was caried out to investigate dynamic characteristics of linear induction drive at dynamic breaking mode at various ways of direct current supply at braking. The dynamic characteristics of a linear drive are simulated at variable parameters of the motor. The possibilities to determine the value of direct current for obtaining desirable braking characteristic are explored.
